In practical terms, make sure things like media analysis are turned off.
EMBY SERVER NVIDIA SHIELD SOFTWARE
Something important to keep in mind: Emby, along with any other related software you may have (Sonarr/Radarr, torrenting apps, etc.) should be configured in such a way as to minimize the amount of disk I/O placed upon files in your G Suite mount. You can use rclone to make your G Suite account appear as a regular hard drive and then simply point Emby to those files. While I can't speak to Emby in particular, or using rclone with an Nvidia Shield, this guide should get you started. So this is a very common setup among Plex users, including myself. I appreciate any resources you could point me to! Thank you! Zero experience with coding outside of java and SAS, so all of the coding related problems have taken my a few days to figure out.

I am definitely comfortable around computers, but have zero experience with rclone.
EMBY SERVER NVIDIA SHIELD PRO
However, if it isn't possible with the Nvidia Shield, I am also fine with using my Surface Pro 4 as the server since it doesn't draw that much power either. This was my hope to continue using my Nvidia Shield. I'm trying to minimize my power usage and my reliance on external hard drives. Since the files are encrypted, they would have to be decrypted on the fly. Stream content to my TV (as the sole user). Have my Emby Server still on my Nvidia Shield, but have the drives point to my Google Drive I was wondering if anyone had any experience with setting up the following:Įncrypt my files automatically onto Google Drive (I believe I could use rclone for this) I do have a Google Drive Unlimited from my undergrad that I don't currently use heavily at all. With that said, I am looking at the longevity of my server, and it will really expensive in the long run to maintain the number of externals I need to keep up with my content. I'm the only user, and have had zero issues. I was hoping you could all help me! I currently have my Emby Server installed on my Nvidia Shield with a few external hard drives attached to it.
